The Club at Ravenna: Donatello Project

When our lovely client purchased this Spanish Style Colorado home, she knew it needed an update. Since she is a world traveler, we immediately made the decision to incorporate many of her personal world treasures into the rich traditional design. Our team played off of the existing deep wood window trim by staining the existing hardwood flooring a dark rich finish to match. We also extended the hardwood throughout the owner's suite and the Gameroom area downstairs. We designed and fabricated custom wrought iron light fixtures throughout this stately home and updated the two-sided fireplace with a modern stucco finish to add subtle texture. The walls were painted a rich cream, and we updated all hardware to matte black. The home's crowning touch is a custom travertine range hood that we designed especially for the stately traditional kitchen. The stone hood was custom carved by hand and installed along with the new intricate marble mosaic backsplash. Our team also incorporated rich damask wallpapers, including the hand embroidered owner's suite wallpaper, throughout the home to highlight the outstanding features of this traditional home. Finally, perhaps our favorite space in this home, is the jewel box music room that we designed for the client to feature her grand piano and harp. This special room is a personal sanctuary that beautifully showcases her love of music and gives her an escape from the busyness of everyday life.
